Our church was established in 1911 and has stood as a prominent part of this community ever since. We are under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Marcus S. Moses, whose vision is for the church to keep serving, not only in our neighborhood but throughout the city of Louisville.
Our community is richly diverse, with people of all ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve. If at any time we can be of service to you and your family, reach out to us.

Look for the gold stars
We worship in our fellowship hall, the Dr. Alex J. Moses Sr. Family Life Center: the green building with the gold stars at 824 S. 24th Street. The brick church at 2400 Howard Street is rented to No More Limits Christian Church.

Feeding the Homeless
We feed the homeless every Wednesday at noon and on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, and put together hygiene kits: toothpaste, soap, deodorant, washcloths.

Raised beds where members grow greens and vegetables together.
Every fellowship
Kitchen & Hospitality
The fellowship meals, the repasts and the anniversary dinners. Nobody leaves the Star hungry.
